Jim
Diers will discuss his new book, "Neighbor Power: Building Community
the Seattle Way." Drawing on his 14 year experience as the first
director of Seattle's Department of Neighborhoods, Jim will read
stories about a few of the 2000 projects developed by volunteers
through the department's Neighborhood Matching Fund. These include
Fremont Time, the Troll, and History House as well as projects from
neighborhoods throughout Seattle. Autographed copies of Jim's book
will be available following the talk.
